Wnt signal pathway에 작용하는 GSK3ß(Glycogen
Synthase Kinase 3β)는 알츠하이머 병(Alzheimer's disease)과 관련이 있는 것으로 알려져
있다. 또한 GSK3β는 미국 버텍스(Vertex) 제약이 Nature : Structure Biology에
발표한 결과에 따르면 혈당(blood glucose)을 조절하는 중요한 역할을 담당하는 것으로 알려지면서 새로운
당뇨병(diabetes) 치료제의 타겟 단백질로도 주목받고 있다.
